Rowing Programs

Adult and Youth (ages 11 and up) Learn to Row Programs

We have both Adult and Youth programs (we run this programs on the same days/times to allow families the convenience of learning within their own program but coming down to the club together.)

Benefits: This program is designed for beginners to introduce youth/adult beginners to the sport of rowing or for anyone who has no previous rowing experience. Our focus is on athletes gaining rowing knowledge, skill development, and fitness in larger crew boats with some opportunity to train in smaller boats, including training singles. Programs will run rain or shine so there will be no refunds for inclement weather.

Safety: Participants will be coached by experienced coaches in a fully-equipped motorized coach boat, including life jackets, and other safety equipment. All coaches have proper police background checks. A swim waiver is required for youth athletes and will be sent out to participants via email once registration is completed and prior to the camp week or alternatively provide proof of a swim test or of Bronze Medallion/Cross or better. Swim tests should include front roll entry, tread water 1 min, swim 50m and putting on a PFD.

Eligibility: No prior rowing experience required. Designed for Adult and Youth Beginners/New to Rowing

Frequency: 3 Sessions per Week. Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Sunday morning 10:30am-12:30pm. Fall Session Saturday and Sunday (Times TBD)
